Help is Just a Call Away: 988 and Your United Way
Crossroads United Way is committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of individuals and families across Elkhart, LaGrange, Noble, and Steuben counties. As part of that commitment, we help raise awareness of critical community resources like 988 – the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
The 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free, and confidential support for anyone experiencing emotional distress, thoughts of suicide, substance use challenges, or a mental health crisis. While Crossroads United Way does not operate the 988 line, we actively promote access to this life-saving service and connect residents to additional local supports through our network of partners and our 2-1-1 resource navigation service.
Together, 2-1-1, 988, and our local programs form a safety net of help, hope, and connection for people when they need it most.
